The results are in!
Craig and Kelley Johnson took the prize this year with their fantastic display. I suspect they will have to use the majority of the winnings to pay off Xcel Energy... Thanks again to all the folks who decorated this year, it made the neighborhood very festive. I also want to say thanks for all the good suggestions for next years' contest. I think we may have separate categories so there is more than one winner.
Happy Holidays and a safe new year!
All the 2009 photos are in the LACR picasa website.

Holiday Decoration Voting
Holly took some great pictures this year, and with all the great houses it was difficult to narrow down the field. I will be sending out an email poll, and these are the pictures we will be voting on this year. Voting will close the 23rd, giving one week to get yours in!

Spring Cleanup
The board has arranged for Waste Management to bring in a 30 yard dumpster the weekend of April May 21-25 for resident use. This is a good opportunity to get rid of that crud that collects all winter long!
If the dumpster is full please don't heap it up, or leave things on the ground. We can arrange for a second one if the dumpster fills up fast...
The bin will be located in the open lot between 11548 and 11566 20th street as Oakland was kind enough to allow use of their property for the weekend. Please note this is NOT the dumpster next to the house under construction. We don't have everyone's email address (we are ALMOST there) so if you bump into your neighbors this week please let them know.
PLEASE NOTE: You can not dispose of any of the following items. If you do, we will be fined and will not repeat this next year.
1 AUTO PARTS
2 COMPOST / TREE STUMPS/ YARD WASTE
3 TIRES
4 BATTERIES
5 MAJOR APPLIANCES (including microwaves)
6 FLUORESCENT BULBS
7 NO FREE LIQUIDS OF ANY KIND (NO PAINT, ETC)
8 ASBESTOS
9 ELECTRONICS (TV'S, COMPUTERS)

2008 Holiday Decorating Voting
Thanks to everyone in the neighborhood for their fantastic holiday decorations. It is nice to drive down the street and see all the houses glowing. Holly took photos of all the houses which you can find in the gallery. We narrowed the field down to four for purposes of voting - so cast your votes (on the right) for your favorite who will receive $50. One vote per household (batteries not included, some restrictions apply).
